"Kuwait Said on Verge of Disaster" discusses the money laundering and various other corruptions that plague the Kuwaiti government in particular the anti-terrorism agency. The article also discusses the detriments that such corruptions may have on Kuwait such as being blacklisted as a terrorist supporting country. Thus, the need for reform is also discussed at danger of being shut off from much of the world. Also, suggestions for means of reform do make it into the article.
This situation poses a difficult situation for many Middle Eastern countries in their attempts to increase trade and relations with the Western world. This is rather depressing for groups who simply desire greater acceptance from the world as a whole while eccentric minority groups simply alienate goodhearted Middle Easterners. This situation just brings despair as one of the most stable Middle Eastern countries may soon be treated as a corrupt untrustworthy state.
If Kuwait does become blacklisted this would automatically detriment their efforts in world diplomacy as most Western countries would take a view of contempt. It could also eventually lead to a military campaign by Western states in future anti-terrorism efforts against Kuwait and similar Middle Eastern countries, thereby, compromising the Kuwaiti government. Also, blacklisting would compromise world trade for Kuwait, which may cause a decline in the Kuwaiti economy and eventual civil unrest due to the decline. The corruption in Kuwait may lead to its downfall.
